This is the Version 2 of my ODST helmet. Original Helmet was sculpted Clay over a paper & rigid foam armature. Version 2 is a molded, cast plastic copy, re-tooled and now being molded.

Newest addition to my helmets. A Recon helmet from the popular game Halo 3. The details were clay sculpted over a paper/resin armature, molded using Smooth-On products, cast in polyurethane plastic.

Visor is see through, cut from a motor cycle helmet replacement lense, with motor cycle helmet liner interior. Color scheme is one color OD Green.

In July of 2008 myself and two friends were in Seattle working a Conference showing off our work on our Halo Costuming. It so happens that when a friend of a friend happened to work at Bungie Studios caught wind of us being in town, they invited us down to the studio. A few hundred pictures later, a box full of swag, and an invitation to hang out with the employees ended with us receiving the coveted Recon Armor. The story isn’t glamorous, it is what it is. I did get to meet Dave Dunn though, creator of Damnation… he was my hero.
